Amazon’s firepower is fully opened and five new sites are added! Latin America and Africa become a potential market?

According to reports, Amazon is stepping up its speed weaving its international network: According to documents flowing from the Buisiness Insider website, Amazon’s Belgium Branch will be launched in September. Amazon also announced that it will build a delivery center near Antwerp, which is planned to be put into use by the end of 2022. The domain name of the New Belgian online store is unclear because Amazon.be is currently used by a Belgian insurance company.

The document also shows that Amazon wants to expand its activities in South America. In addition to the existing national markets in Brazil and Mexico, Chile and Colombia will be launched in the first quarter of 2023. In addition, Amazon also aimed at the African market: in a document code -named “Project Fla”, Amazon plans to open a site in Nigeria and South Africa in the first quarter of 2023.

Amazon is currently operating in 20 countries/regions around the world. So far, the latest branches of Sweden, Poland and the Netherlands have developed slowly under the challenge of local e -commerce platforms. Similar situations may also appear on the South American market. Mercado Libre, Sou Barato, and Americanas.com are currently being divided into South American e -commerce markets.
