Recently, the product data tracking platform Data Feed Watch studied the product data of more than 15,000 online stores in more than 50 countries/regions, including Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and the Netherlands, and published data reports.
The report pointed out that 16%of online products are out of stock. Product shortage is mainly concentrated in the three categories of automobiles and components (57%), sports supplies (40%) and cameras (22%). The United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands are the three countries with the best inventory. Germany and France performed well, and online product inventory was lower than the average level.
Industry insiders pointed out that the rise in the outbreak, the Russian and Ukraine War, and the soaring energy prices affect product production and transportation, which is the main factor that causes the overall inventory shortage. E -commerce sellers should pay more attention to product inventory status, reasonably plan the layout, and avoid the negative impact of inventory problems on the overall operation.
